Taylor included in New Zealand side after eye surgery

Christ Church, New Zealand: Veteran batsman Ross Taylor has return to New Zealand side after recovering from eye surgery and will rejoin the Test team for the Test series against Bangladesh which starts in Wellington on January 12.

Taylor had surgery to remove a pterygium (growth) on his left eye that affected his vision after the second Test against New Zealand in Hamilton.

” It is great to have Ross back in the side, he has a phenomenal record that speaks for itself and he is coming off a terrific century in  his last Test. He has obviously been an essential part of our Test side for a long time and bring invaluable experience and knowledge to the group “, selector Gavin Larsen said in an press statement.

Taylor scored a century against Pakistan in Hamilton last November, begore under going the surgery and missing the one day series against Australia and Bangladesh.

He return to cricket last week in New Zealand’s Twenty20 competition with 82 not out and 80.
