WICB appoints new CEO🕓 Reading time: 1 minute
St John’s, Antigua: The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has appointed Johnny Grave as it’s new chief executive officer, he takes over from Michael Muirhead who resigned from the position late last year.
Grave joins the WICB with a wealth of experience from both the Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA) in the United Kingdom where he has been the commercial director for the past 9 years and the Surrey Cricket Club where he held several leadership positions.
Among his tasks with the WICB will be developing and implementing its strategic plan. Grave top priorities as CEO will be the management and oversight of the WICB US$40 million budget, the creation of new commercial opportunities to drive revenue into the game, along with an increase focus on player relations on and off the field.
Grave holds an Executive MBA from Cass Business School in London and is a graduate of the University of Leeds. He will take up his appointment next month.
