Top 5: All-time golden goals for Luis Suarez

🕓 Reading time: 2 minutes

On 24th of January, Uruguay and Barcelona striker Luis Suárez hit the big 30. To celebrate his birthday, here’s five of his most sizzling goals so far

Luis Suárez vs. Newcastle United (2012)

Every single thing was special about this goal from Suárez. The control on his shoulder, the skill to beat the goalkeeper and even more so the way the ball bounces back in Suárez’ hands as he went off celebrating. Just special.

Luis Suárez vs. Real Madrid (2015)

With the score at 1-1, Suárez popped up with the match-winning goal. After a great pass from Dani Alves, the Uruguayan controlled the ball perfectly before slotting it past Madrid-goalie Iker Casillas. The degree of difficulty for this goal is unbelievably high, yet Luisito makes it look so easy and executes it.

Luis Suárez vs. Norwich City (2012)

On a hat-trick and with rain pouring down, Luis Suárez picks up the ball at the halfway line, looks up, sees the keeper off his line and goes for the audacious strike. The Norwich City goalkeeper tries all he can, but is simply helpless. Sensational.

Luis Suárez vs. South Korea (2010)

Uruguay are level with South Korea in the 2010 World Cup with a place in the quarter-finals at stake. There are just ten minutes left to play and both sides are crying out for a hero, then Luis Suárez comes up trumps. Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

Luis Suárez vs. Norwich City (2013)

Few performances have been as complete as that of Luis Suárez at Anfield on 4 December in 2013. With four goals and one assist it was the Luis Suárez show and one goal, in particular, was outrageous. Out of this world.
