5 Number of hundred partnerships between Vijay and Pujara in this home season, most by any Indian pair in a season. Vijay Hazare and Rusi Modi in 1948-49 had four century stands between them in six innings.
1605 Runs scored by Cheteshwar Pujara this season in first-class cricket, most by any Indian batsmen in a season. Chandu Borde had 1604 runs in 1964-65 seasons, which was best effort in a season by an Indian.
12 Centuries scored by Virat Kohli at No. 4 in Tests, second-most by an Indian at this position. Only Schin Tendulkar has scored more hundreds than Kohli at this position, 44, for India. Kohli took just 32 matches to achieve this while Gundappa Viswanath took 82 matches to match Kohli’s feat.
9 Test hundreds scored by Virat Kohli as a captain, joint second-most by Indian captain along with Mohammad Azharuddin. Only Sunil Gavaskar (11) has more hundreds than Kohli as a captain.
