1316 Test runs by Cheteshwar Pujara in this season, most among India batsmen in any season surpassing Gautam Gambhir who had 1269 runs in 2008-09 season. He is second in all-time list after Rickey Ponting (1483) in 2005-06 season.
5 Number of fifties for KL Rahul in this series, the joint-most by Indian opener in a series against Australia. His opening partner Murli Vijay had same number of fifties in 2014-15 series.
405 Runs for Pujara in this series, most by Indian batsmen and second-most overall. Only Steven Smith (482) has more runs than Pujara in this series.
