Deep’s corner – Well played Bangladesh!

Soumya Sarkar gave Bangladesh a brilliant start, but as usual, the visitors lost their way and a hat-trick from Lasith Malinga dented the hopes of a score around 190-plus in allotted 20 overs. Sri Lanka started off with a boundary, but Shakib Al Hasan struck immediately and set jitters in the Lankan batting lineup. It was a professional Bangladesh in the field who notched up a victory to gift Mashrafe Mortaza a fitting farewell.

Deep Dasgupta gives his opinion about the second Twenty20 International between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Colombo at CricketSoccer.
