Sri Lanka registered an outstanding victory against India at the Kennington Oval yesterday. Sri Lanka’s wicketkeeper, Niroshan Dickwella said in an interview after the end of match, the Lankan Lions took a revenge against India as the men in blue took the game lightly.
He said, “I’ve heard that they (India) take this game as a practice game and …I don’t know and this is the return. We are not annoyed (by India treating this as a practice game), but we don’t really care about these things, we don’t think about the social media. But it hurts sometimes for us because…both the teams play cricket at the same level and they think this is a practice game and we got our revenge,” said they wicketkeeper-batsman”.
Dickwella’s statement has already triggered a wave of controversy around the cricketing world and his remarks are not taken well by the sensible fans, especially the Indians.
