Vinicius Junior has been impressive in the 2020-21 season so far. He has been scoring goals and helping the Royal Whites to bag important points. Even though the lack of decisiveness still persists in front of the goal, but the determined Vinicius is expected to improve a lot more in the coming days.
Buoyed by his good form, Vinicius is hoping to be part of an all-conquering Real Madrid unit, he expressed such in an interview published in Marca.
“My biggest dream is to win the treble. It hasn’t been done and we have our heads and hearts set on it.”
Vinicius’ latest strike came away at Levante over the weekend, but he insists that the team picking up three points was the most important thing to come from the game.
“I controlled the ball very well so I had time to think about it and place. I put it exactly where I wanted to, I put Madrid 1-0 ahead and we won the game, which is the most important thing.”
Now 20 years old, there’s more expectation surrounding the youngster than there had been in previous seasons, with people around the club wanting him to kick on and show the consistency that he has lacked since landing in Spain.
“I arrived when I was 18 years old and had only played one season in Brazil. Everything was new and I’m still learning now, but I’m already a different player. The people at Madrid always help me and tell me very clearly what I can improve.”
Vinicius’ fearlessness is something that has earned him a lot of plaudits since he’s been in LaLiga Santander.
“I’m not afraid of losing the ball,” Vinicius said of his own style.
“I’ll always be like that so that people believe in me.”
“My daring nature helps the team when we’re losing or drawing.”
