Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made no secret of the fact that he is looking forward to today’s game against Real Madrid.
The striker has already played against Los Blancos six times, but each time in the Champions League and with Borussia Dortmund. Now he will do it for the first time in LaLiga Santander.
“I like to play against Real Madrid,” he told BarcaTV.
“The Clasico is the biggest match in the world because everyone talks about that game.”
He also recognised that Barcelona are playing well at the moment under the guidance of club legend Xavi Hernandez.
“We’re in good form right now, we have to keep going and have trust in ourselves.”
He also spoke of his first goal for the club, which came against Valencia in LaLiga.
“It was a great pass from Jordi [Alba],” he said.
“I took my time; my first touch was good and I got the shot on target – it was a great goal.”
The Gabonese forward also highlighted Pedri as one of the players he’s been most impressed by since he arrived at the club.
“The surprise is seeing Pedri play,” he said.
“He doesn’t lose the ball and does magic things with his feet.
“He plays so easily. He makes it look so easy.”
